Most recent works on paper

My most recent body of works are of trees. Instead of people I sort of personify trees to reflect a mood that I am in or people that I know/see. I have some paintings with similar imagery, however I think that the black and white (with subtle and few additions of color) conveys my message better. Besides, I love to work with charcoal and I love to work with wax, so its fun to make.

All images were created on paper, using charcoal, graphite, and encaustic wax. They are 11" x 14" and are for sale for $125. If you are interested in any of these, please email me.

"Darkness Study"

"The Christian" - text reads [worship. idolize. fear.]

"A Part" - text reads [As much as I try, I will always be a part]

"Walking Coma" - text reads [I think I'm just going to hide today. There come times when the days seem too long and the night is too short. When love is too painful and loss seems like a comfort. If there is a thing called walking pneumonia - what about a walking coma? That would be too easy.]
